The AMX-104 R-Jarja was developed by Neo Zeon in the year 0088 UC. It was one of two Custom Knight mobile suits, along with the AMX-103 Hamma Hamma. Initially a single prototype that was intended for later mass production, the R-Jarja never made it past the experimental stage, with one completed unit operated by ace pilot Chara Soon.

The AMX-104 R-Jarja is a commander-type unit and its design was inspired by the old Principality of Zeon's YMS-15 Gyan from the One Year War. A beam rifle with a heat bayonet, a customized beam saber and two sets of missile launchers in the shoulders rounded out the suit's armament, but the R-Jarja featured a rather unique defensive feature. This feature was the pair of "flexible shields" mounted on its shoulders, which could be flipped to provide additional armor protection to either the front or rear of the R-Jarja.

MS-09F/trop DOM TROPEN

late in the One Year War, the Zeon military introduced the MS-09F/trop Dom Tropen, designed to operate exclusively in a localized desert and tropical regions on Earth.

In addition to additional sand filters to protect its equipment, specialized block-shaped armor designed to help keep sand from getting inside, and powerful cooling systems to overcome the desert heat, the Dom Tropen also featured special sand filtering intakes for its leg-mounted thermonuclear jet engines, allowing the mobile suit to retain its high ground hovering speeds without fear of sand ruining the engines.

Dom Tropen is developed with Dom Funf as the basis. Since not many Dom Funfs were produced before the end of the One Year War, thus not many could be modified into the Dom Tropen. However, there were at least eight units were known to exist.

My fave Dom design

Dom Tropen is still my fave Dom design until now, even this is the name of this Blog. I used this name everywhere, in fact, if you ever met an online character named Domtropen in some games, it's probably me. But this is an old kit date back from 2000-ish. Yes, Bandai released them as a new P-Bandai in 2017, but its still the same mold with an extra hand that I won't use.

But this one is different, this one is a special Dom Tropen. Why? I didn't make him super clean or flawless, not even my best build so far. But I got this kit without the Poly-cap parts!
The seller send me a kit without Poly-cap runner! I could send it back, but I really want it, also my ego prevented me from doing it. So I build this Majestic Dom Tropen with leftovers Poly-cap runners from a dozen of Gunpla. Hard work, Adjustment, Tears, and many foul words are spoken, but finally, the Great Dom Tropen stand in awe.  Damn! I love Dom Tropen.

Developed as a heavy-type, high performance mobile suit, the Dom could outmaneuver the Federation's new mass production mobile suit, the RGM-79 GM. While the Dom can use many of the Zaku II and Gouf standard armaments. The Dom's main advantages were its speed, agility, and maneuverability. The Dom had massive legs and a "skirt," under which were several high-powered thermonuclear jet engines that allowed the Dom to hover over the ground. These gave it a 240 kilometer per hour hovering speed, which far surpassed the Gouf's running speed of only 99 kilometers per hour. The Dom's superiority was blatantly evident to the Zeon forces and the Dom went quickly into mass production.

YMS-08B DOM TEST TYPE

During the early days of mobile suit development at Zimmad, several experimental machines including the YMS-08B Dom Test Type were produced based on Zeonic mobile suit designs. Two models sharing the same model number, "YMS-08B", were created. The space combat specification was based on the MS-06RD-4 Zaku High Mobility Test Type and a ground combat configuration based on the MS-07C-5 Gouf Test Prototype. The Dom Test Type models would lead to the development of the MS-09B Dom and MS-09R Rick Dom.
