YMS-16M Xamel was the first true heavy artillery mobile suit, designed to operate as a mobile artillery gun battery. Equipped with a powerful hovercraft/hover-jet system in its legs and massive skirt armor, it could skim along the ground at high speed, giving it the ability to fire, move to another location, set up and fire again without giving away its position too easily.
In U.C. 0083 During "Operation Stardust" Xamel inflicting severe damage to Torrington Base in Australia. It later was destroyed by Lieutenant South Burning in his RGM-79C GM Type C when it was trying to cover for Anavel Gato so he could escape with the stolen RX-78GP02A Gundam.
For more than 10 years the Xamel ruin left to rotten in the middle of the Australian desert. But later on, some Zeon Remnant able to retrieve what's left of it and restored this 121 tons Behemoth again from the deep slumber and called it Xamel Auferstanden (resurrected).
In U.C. 0096, on the second attack of Torrington Base by the Zeon Remnants. The ghost of Xamel re-appear and bring another nightmare to that base. It's unclear what happens to it after the battle, some says it was destroyed in the battlefield, other says its managed to escaped along with other Zeon Remnants survivor. But one thing for sure, the gargantuan silhouette of the sleeping Behemoth already haunting Torrington Base forever.
This is what happens if you let it outside for 10 years++ |
